309 is the first model of Népszuper (People's super).

With this radio started production of several Népszuper models that, although having a low price, represent a more complete and functional version of Néprádió (People's Radio).

All the Népszuper models are united by similar general characteristics, a good compromise between simplicity constructive and good performance.

The 309 works in medium waves only.

The left knob operates the volume control, the right knob is for the tuning and the power switch is located in the left side of the radio.

The color of this radio is not original, someone has repainted, Philips 309 was manufactured in natural wood color.

I prefer not restore it, I think it is better to leave as I found it, as evidence of a lived history.
